Where I serve

I am headed down to Tuscaloosa to serve at the University of Alabama! ROLL TIDE!

My Story

I grew up in the heart of Oklahoma in a family devoted to the Lord. My Mom is a cradle Catholic, and my Dad converted to Catholicism in college. My four siblings and I attended Catholic grade school and learned the principles of the faith at a young age. Though I knew God, had a profound respect for the faith, and prayed regularly, I didn’t truly learn that a relationship with Christ was possible until high school. The Lord encountered me in these formative years and invited me to walk closely with Him in friendship.

When I got to college at the University of Oklahoma (Boomer Sooner!) I was pretty happy with my relationship with God. I was praying, attending Mass on Sunday’s, and felt comfortable talking about my faith with others. Complacent as I was, the Lord, in His great mercy, desired more for me. My freshman year I was invited to a FOCUS Bible study and quickly got involved in the Catholic community at St. Thomas More University Parish. In Bible study I learned how to go deeper into Scripture and how to relate the truths of the Bible to the world around me. I began to live a life close to the Sacraments and prayer. The next year I began being led in discipleship and started a bible study with my dear friend, Teresa Tran (who is now discerning a vocation with a religious order!). In leading others towards Christ, the Lord allowed me to see the love He has for each of His children. This encounter lead me to a deeper conversion towards Christ, in which He invited me to not just be His friend, but also His beloved daughter.

As the years of college passed, I began to realize that my role as a student at OU was not just to learn about Biology, but to be a vessel and witness of Christ’s love to everyone I encountered. Christ allowed me to experience the deep love He has for my soul and for every soul ever created.  Jesus allowed me to see how He desired to use broken vessels, such as myself, to bring His love to others. As a missionary I hope to continue to be a vessel and witness of Christ’s love and to serve the Body of Christ! I pray that would join me in this mission of love, to bring the love of Christ to all nations!

Your Impact

As a missionary, I rely entirely on the providence of God through the generosity of others. The beauty of this reality is that it is not just I who goes on mission, but all of those who support me. In Luke 10 verse 2, Christ says “The harvest is abundant but the laborers are few; so ask the master of the harvest to send out laborers for his harvest.” As partners on mission, we set out together into the world, as co-laborers in the harvest, to bring souls to Christ. Thank you for your generosity with the Lord. I am so excited to go on mission with you!
