Since a young age, my Catholic faith has been a part of my life. My family and I would attend Mass on Sundays and pray together before bed. I went to a Catholic school where I learned a lot about the faith. Most of my life, I struggled to truly be myself. I felt like if people really saw who I was, they wouldn’t love me. For most of my freshman year, of college at Iowa State I really just hung out with one group of friends, but I was terrified of meeting new people. At a retreat I went on that spring, I met people in my small group that I felt comfortable being vulnerable around and they loved me and received me well for who I really was. The speakers at the retreat displayed great virtue and inspired me to grow in holiness through authentic, Christ-centered, and virtuous friendships. Encountering God’s love through these people helped me realize that God loved me and I saw myself as being worthy of love in a way that I never had before.

Encountering this love sparked a desire for mission and holiness that I really wanted to pursue. I spent the next three years sharing the faith with children over the summers through as a Totus Tuus Missionary and during the school year through bible studies, discipleship groups, leading retreats, and leading events for college students. I found profound joy and fulfillment in pursuing deep relationship with the Lord and orienting my life towards making a gift of myself to others! Watching the Lord do tremendous things in my life and the lives of people around me brought great joy!

There is a great need for missionaries to love the serve college students and I have a deep desire to see, know, and love college students for who they truly are and help them to encounter God’s infinite love for them!

Your support will help me to bring Christ’s love to a culture that desperately needs it. I’ll have the freedom to pursue deep, authentic friendships with students that create fertile soil for conversion! Not only will we help the Lord transform lives together, but we’ll be helping people learn to lead others as well! You’re not just helping support a missionary, you’ll be helping souls reach eternal life and not only will they be changed, but all the lives that they touch!
