Grace Giebler

Howdy hey! My name is Grace and I am a missionary for Jesus Christ!

“Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.” John 17:3

Where I serve

The Lord has invited me to lovingly give of myself in sharing the Gospel with the college students at San Francisco State University in California. I won’t be seeing any corn for a while, hah!Screen Shot 2024 06 19 at 1.54.20 PM

My Story

My deepest longing is for God’s children to be lit aflame with the love of Himself and that the flame never dies out. So that His people know the intimacy of a relationship with Jesus and the joy and peace He has come to ravish our hearts with. All mission is an overflow of Christ’s love and I am thrilled the Lord has invited me to be a missionary for Him!

All my life I have been in love with Jesus. Although Jesus has always been in my life, He wasn’t always the center of it. When I was 14 years old, the Holy Spirit came upon me in a new way and my eyes were opened to the Truth of who God is and how worthy He is of my complete devotion. The question, “Is Jesus alone enough for me?” continued to be presented to me in prayer. My answer was, and is, and will continue to be, “Yes.” From then on, I decided to stop living for myself and surrender myself totally to God. It was the best decision I have ever made.

“Lifting up his eyes to heaven, Jesus prayed saying: “I pray not only for these, but also those who will believe in me through their word, so that they may all be one, as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they may be in us, that the world may believe that you sent me. And I have given them the glory you gave me, so that they may be brought to perfection as one, so that the world may know that you sent me, and that you loved them even as you loved me. Father, they are your gift to me. I wish that where I am they also may be with me, that they may see my glory that you gave me, because you loved me from the foundation of the world. Righteous Father, the world does not know you, but I know you, and they know that you sent me. I made known to them your name and I will make it known, that the love with which you loved me may be in them and I in them.” John 17:20-26

The Son, being eternally loved by the Father, wishes for us to be caught up in this exchange of love. Not only so that we know we are loved by God, but that we might be brought to perfection as one with Him. Since we are destined to be one, it makes sense that it is difficult for us to be separated. Yet, Christ makes us one. Not in some abstract or metaphorical way, but truly and actually one. May every and all come to know their identity as Beloved in Christ Jesus and lay down their life in great love for Jesus just as He did for us. He is infectiously desirous of you.

I often sit with the scripture of the visitation. Mary travels a far distance, in the heat, while very pregnant, to visit Elizabeth. When Mary arrives she brings the life of Christ with her to share with Elizabeth. Mary doesn’t just stay one night with her friend, but three months. Mary’s openness to the Lord, her sharing of Jesus, her generosity of time, and her charity of heart, change Elizabeth’s life forever. Through this passage, the Lord has revealed to me He is calling me to love and share the Gospel like this. To be a vessel for the Lord’s love and create a space for people to fall in love with Him and never stop falling. He abides in us all, therefore, we are able to bring Him to others. He has been calling me to walk closely and intimately with others so we can share in Christ’s joys and suffering together, pray for miracles together, and be a messenger of the Lord’s Gospel to His children. I want to love like this for the rest of my life. It is only the Lord’s love that has brought me here. It is only the Lord’s love that I can give. It is only the Lord’s love that will change lives.

I will never grow numb to the Truth of who He is. I will never take for granted the body and blood of Christ who was ransomed for me. I feel like the woman at the well. Jesus has revealed Himself to me in great love and now I want to go tell everyone about Him!

Your Impact

Through our baptism, we are all called to be missionaries for Jesus. Some are missionaries who go by going and some are missionaries who go by giving. We need both! When God called me to be a missionary with FOCUS, I made the decision to rely on the spiritual and financial support of mission partners to join me in fulfilling the Great Commission: to make disciples of all nations. Your partnership, prayers, and generosity, allow me to fully be present to serve the college students who don’t know that they are beloved sons and daughters of the King Most High. If you are interested in partnering in Christ’s mission with me, please let me know the best way to reach you and I will schedule an appointment. May the Lord pour out His love like water upon you!
