Heading into the fall, I will be a first year missionary at ____.

As a missionary, my greatest desire is to lead all students to know and understand the everlasting Love and fulfillment found in Christ. My life has been forever changed and transformed by Jesus, and I want nothing more than to bring this joy to others and introduce them to the life-changing message of the Gospel. In His ministry on earth, Jesus humbled Himself to meet us on our level, taking on our humanity, and spent most of His time investing deeply in a few. I look to Jesus’ own example to find the best method of reaching the world.

I have been blessed to grow up with a family that loves the Lord, and constantly seeks to grow in relationship with Him. However, it was not until I was at the end of high school that I understood that I could have deep, intimate relationship with Christ. In a moment of great desperation and grace, the Lord spoke His voice to me in a particular way. From that moment, I could not help but become curious about what else this very real God had to say to His Beloved One. I began to seek out the Truth and continued on this quest into college at Colorado State University. Go Rams! It was throughout my journey in college, that I began wrestling with the idea of changing my ways, and giving my life fully to the Lord. Only through frequenting prayer and the sacraments, entering into authentic friendship, and a heck of a lot of failure, did I find that the greatest fulfillment and satisfaction in life is found in Christ abiding and constant love. It is only in entering into the Divine Mover that we can be still and held perfectly in this life.

I now am called and excited to invite others into this personal relationship with Jesus just as the previous FOCUS missionaries did so for me. We live in a world that is constantly craving more, and I look forward to walking with men and women to the one true fulfillment — our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!

When I said ‘yes’ to join FOCUS, I made the decision to rely on the spiritual and financial support of mission partners to help me through this mission. Christ Himself modeled the way of complete trust in community to live on mission, and I too am following in footsteps of both Him and His followers in making disciples of all nations.

It is a great joy to live out this radical mission, and I cannot do it without you! In supporting my efforts to know Christ Jesus and tell of His longing and everlasting Love to those I encounter, I truly believe that you will be entering the mission field with me – experiencing the joys, the hardships, the glory stories, the hope and the everlasting life of those who serve and give generously to the Lord.
