Where I serve

My Story

Throughout my time as a student at Iowa State, through leading Bible Studies and becoming involved at St. Thomas Aquinas, I genuinely fell in love with Jesus. As I became more involved and began to know Jesus more, I started recognizing where the people I knew didn’t. After knowing Jesus, even in these small ways, my heart began to hurt for those who didn’t.

During the summer of 2024, I decided to push beyond just school and lead Bible studies with my friends in my hometown, Carroll, Iowa. Here, I could walk with some of my best friends through our Bibles Studies and attend the Sacraments, prayer, and fun activities! I had fun at the job I was going to each day, but my greatest joy was seeing these women grow and encountering them in their daily lives. At the end of the summer, I felt the desire to continue this mission and knew it was something God had placed on my heart. It was a JOY to say “Yes!” to FOCUS, and I am so excited to invite others to also say “yes” to Jesus through this apostolate.
