Where I serve

I am excited to share that the Lord has called me to serve the college students at the University of Missouri! Go Mizzou!

My Story

Growing up, my family moved often and lived in nearly every corner of Wisconsin: the quiet, pine-covered town of Grantsburg, the scenic Rib Mountain region of Wausau, and the breezy shores of Lake Michigan in historic Green Bay. Eventually, my family settled in the quaint and beautiful city of Ripon. As you may have guessed, especially with four siblings, growing up was an adventure for me. My brother, sisters, and I spent our days running around outside, playing board games, or entertaining my parents with talent shows. Amid the bustle of my childhood, my parents raised us in the Catholic faith. Faith was always a part of my life. Throughout my childhood, I remember regularly attending mass and praying a blessing over our family’s dinner. Yet, in the business of life, I never paused to ask if there was more to my faith or God.

Before long, I was off to college to study biomedical science at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. While attending college, I was involved in numerous activities and met many new friends. Despite the activity and being surrounded by people, I felt a persistent ache, a longing for something deeper than academics or social life. I didn’t know what this stirring in my heart meant, so I did my best to ignore it, filling my time with distractions. These habits offered momentary escape, but were fleeting, and the longing in my heart always returned. Right about this same time, I met the chaplain and missionaries from the Catholic Newman Center at UWO. They served as powerful examples of authentic faith and joy, and I was immediately welcomed into the Catholic community at the Newman Center. I was invited to weekly meals and eventually joined a Bible study. For the first time in my life, I was intentionally pursuing my faith. I wanted to learn more about Catholicism, and at last, the yearning in my heart was finally fulfilled. Over the next three years of college, I had the incredible opportunity to attend three national SEEK conferences through FOCUS, travel to Belize on a mission trip, and lead my classmates and friends in Bible study and discipleship. Through these experiences, I encountered the Church in a way I never had before. Each experience deepened my faith and helped me develop a personal relationship with the Lord. I discovered that the God I once thought distant and uninterested was, in fact, very present and deeply desired a relationship with me. Through the love, persistence, and guidance of the FOCUS missionaries on our campus, I was drawn to the profound goodness and purpose found in mission work. The Lord used this desire to call me to give back to His Church through FOCUS, specifically reaching out to college students.

Your Impact

When I answered the call to join FOCUS, I made the decision to rely fully on the spiritual and financial support of mission partners like you to sustain me in this mission. I have been truly blessed by the incredible community of people who have joined me on this journey as I serve on campus.

If you feel called to partner with me, I would love to connect with you. Please let me know the best way to reach you, and I’ll gladly schedule a time to share more about this mission and how your prayers and support make a lasting difference. Please reach out to me through my phone (920) 896-5472 or email [email protected]

I am honored to walk alongside you in this work, and deeply grateful for your generosity and faith. Together, we are helping students discover their identity as beloved sons and daughters of God, and that impact is eternal.
