We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
“Man cannot find himself except through a sincere gift of himself” -Saint Pope John Paul II
God has called our family to serve another year at the University of Georgia in Athens, GA! Go Dawgs! My husband Henry and I serve as full-time campus missionaries. Our job includes leading bible studies, small group discipleship, retreats, mission trips, and to live the abundant life with our team, students, and chaplains. We are looking forward to another year on campus and all that the Lord has in store to lead students into a deeper relationship with his Son, Jesus Christ.

It wasn’t until college until I️ understood what it meant to be a true disciple of Jesus, in a deep relationship with Him. My life was completely changed by Christ during my undergrad at Texas A&M, and since then it has been my goal to share the His goodness and make Him known!
Going into college, I️ quickly bought into the exciting things around me, placing my identity in my campus involvement, sorority life, and academic success. While I️ claimed faith remained a priority, I️ was so focused on other accomplishments that I️ neglected to truly live a Christian life. I️ poured into fleeting pleasures of the world and quickly became isolated and lonely, searching for something to fill the void in my heart.
My freshman year, I️ was encountered by a student who showed me what it meant to live fully. I️ was invited into a community of women who lived in a way I️ had never seen before; they appeared fully alive, joyful, and vibrant. I️ was drawn to them. I️ wanted to be like them. As we grew in friendship, I was invited to St. Mary’s Catholic Center where I️ discovered the beauty and love of Jesus Christ in the Eucharist. I️ then fell in love with Jesus in a new way as I️ devoted myself to the Sacraments and daily prayer. I️ later learned this void I️ was so desperate to fill could only be filled by the infinite love of God and not by the finite pleasures of the world. The Lord placed these women in my life to accompany me in my journey, teaching me that I️ am made good and that I️ am a beautiful daughter of Jesus Christ. I continued to learn that Christ continually pursues my heart, all I have to do is be open to Him. This same year I️ met Henry who continued to show me the love of Christ each day. Throughout our time together in college, we experienced the Lord’s grace through the Sacraments, continued to grow in virtue together, and found great joy being on mission through leading bible studies and discipleship. Fast forward to now, we are married and expecting our first baby! Praise God! We are experiencing the Lord’s graces as we embark on mission full time together and we are blessed to share that with students here at UGA.

When I said yes to FOCUS, I also said yes to fully relying on God to provide for me both financially and spiritually. Through the generosity and sacrifice of my mission partners, I am able to serve on campus in order to fulfill God’s call to the Great Commission! If you are interested in hearing more about my story, my mission, and about FOCUS, please reach out. It would be a gift to join together on mission!

We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.

By building genuine friendships, we meet students on a deeper level.

We teach students how to share the gospel, who in turn teach other students how to pass it on.
