We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
“Evangelization is the essential mission of the Church; it is not a secondary task, nor something optional.” – John Paul II
“Some give by going; others go by giving.” – Mother Teresa
Hi, I’m Jack, and I’m excited to be a first-year FOCUS missionary!
I remember my first week at college like it was yesterday. I had just given my life to Christ about a year before, and I remember wondering what to do that first Sunday. I didn’t know many people, and I could just as easily go to church, as finding countless other things to do. But I had met a group of kind, enthusiastic missionaries from a campus ministry, who invited me to church, and I went.
Their invitation changed my life. I met my best friends at that church, and became a Bible study leader. With all of the inevitable challenges of college, they helped me stay close to Jesus.
I want to do the same for college students today. They are coming to campus, and often asking the same questions. “Where do I belong?” or “Will I be a Christian here?”.
It’s through your support that I will have the honor of inviting students to be part of a community that loves them for who they are, invests in them, and encourages them to become the greatest they can be. My mission is to you and your families, just as much as it is to the students I will be working with, and I am excited for us to grow closer, pray for one another, and encourage each other to go deeper in our relationships with the Lord. Please pray for me, and I hope to get to work with you!

We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.

By building genuine friendships, we meet students on a deeper level.

We teach students how to share the gospel, who in turn teach other students how to pass it on.
