Where I serve

I serve at Seton Hall University in South Orange, New Jersey! This is my first year with FOCUS and I am super excited to see what God has planned for us.

This is the amazing team I serve at Seton Hall with: Mo, our team director, Jack, and Bri!

Margaret is a big part of why I said yes to going on mission, previously as my friend and now as my girlfriend. She has always encouraged me to be the best version of myself and her prayers help me to respond to God’s will.

My Story

My siblings and I all converted to Catholicism when I was in eighth grade. Going to Catholic high school, we began to see the Faith as something we should come back to. After our Confirmations, however, my family stopped going again. Unsatisfied with the plateau I had seemingly reached, I kept searching for more with Fr. Mike Schmitz and my school Bible. I began going back to Mass once I could drive, and never turned back. I attended Providence College and dove headfirst into campus ministry, leading Youth Education, becoming Grand Knight for the Knights of Columbus, and joining our Peer Ministry program, Life group, and going on every retreat I could, as a participant or leader.

I first encountered FOCUS when Providence received a grant to attend SEEK 2023, and I instantly fell in love with the people and the mission. I loved how passionate everyone was about sharing the gospel, as well as the genuine love and openness to conversation. I began leading a Bible Study on campus and walking with students around me, and realized this was exactly what a FOCUS missionary would do! After completing my undergraduate degrees in Math and Computer Science, with minors in Data Science and Theology, I completed a one-year masters in Business Analytics at PC, and applied for FOCUS, with guidance from Ben Kelly and the missionaries at Brown University.

Your Impact

Being able to take these next couple years (or longer!) to devote myself to bringing Jesus to people is such a blessing. College campus are a battleground, between the party culture, academic stress, and general unhappiness running rampant. When I answered the call to join FOCUS, I made the decision to rely on the spiritual and financial support of mission partners to help me through this mission. Being a missionary is not something I can do alone.
