Starting this fall, I will be serving as a full-time campus missionary at Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas! Wreck ’em!

I attended the University of South Carolina Honors College on a full-ride academic scholarship on the pre-med track. I met one of the FOCUS missionaries after Sunday mass during one of my first weeks on campus. He invited me to my first ever bible study and quickly became a great friend and spiritual inspiration for me. He invited me to attend FOCUS’ national conference where I was surrounded by thousands of other catholic college students and experienced a strong pull to dive deeper into my faith. I decided to turn away from the toxic college culture and slowly turn my life towards Jesus. My missionary continued to invest in me, teaching me how to pray, study scripture, and the importance of the sacraments. I eventually became a strong leader in our catholic community, mentoring other students, leading my own bible study, and altar serving. I used to dream of becoming a rich doctor who could retire early and live a life of comfort. Now my greatest desire is to lead others to Christ and do whatever it takes to fulfill his great commission to “go and make disciples of all nations” (Matthew 28:19).
