God has called me to serve at the University of Arizona! I’ll be joining my teammates Gabe, Sara, and Reisa as we walk alongside students and share the Gospel on campus. Go Wildcats!

My job as a full time missionary includes leading bible studies, small group discipleship, retreats, mission trips, and to live the abundant life with my team and students! I am looking forward to this year and all that the Lord has in store to lead students into a deeper encounter with Jesus Christ.

Dios me ha llamado a servir en la Universidad de Arizona! Estaré uniéndome a mis compañeros de misión, Gabe, Sara y Reisa, mientras caminamos junto a los estudiantes y compartimos el Evangelio en el campus. ¡Vamos, Wildcats!

Mi trabajo como misionero católico de tiempo completo incluye dirigir estudios bíblicos, acompañar a estudiantes en pequeños grupos de discipulado, organizar retiros y viajes de misión, y vivir la vida abundante en Cristo junto con mi equipo y los estudiantes.

Faith has always been a part of my life. Growing up, I was involved in youth group and had the opportunity to go on four mission trips during high school. Those experiences helped lay the foundation for my relationship with Christ and showed me the joy that comes from serving others.

After high school, I went on to play collegiate soccer at Whatcom Community College. While I still practiced my faith, soccer had become much more than a sport to me, it had become my identity. My worth was tied to my performance, my success, and the role I played on the field. Looking back, I had unknowingly made soccer my god.

Everything changed when injuries forced me to step away from the game as I transferred to Grand Canyon University. Although I no longer had soccer, I knew I wanted to stay connected to my faith, so I began attending Mass regularly and became involved at the ASU Newman Center.

It wasn’t until my senior year, when I attended SEEK, that the Lord truly began transforming my heart. During that conference, I found myself wrestling with questions I had avoided for years: Who am I? What is my purpose? What is God calling me to do with my life?

For the first time, I began to see that my identity was not found in athletics, achievements, or career success. It was found in being a beloved son of God.

That realization changed everything.

As I grew deeper in my relationship with Christ, I found myself caring more and more about the people around me. I began to recognize that every person I encountered had an eternal soul and a deep desire for meaning, purpose, and love. I saw friends searching for fulfillment in the same places I once had, in success, relationships, achievement, or recognition, yet still feeling empty. I knew that the peace, joy, and purpose I had found in Christ was something I wanted others to experience as well.

After graduating college, I entered the workforce and pursued different career opportunities. While there were many good things about that season, I couldn’t shake the feeling that God was calling me to something more. The deeper I prayed, the more I realized that what fulfilled me most wasn’t building my own success. It was helping others encounter Jesus.

That’s what ultimately led me to apply to become a FOCUS missionary. As a former college athlete, I understand the pressures, challenges, and questions that many students face. I know what it’s like to search for identity and purpose. I also know the incredible transformation that can happen when someone encounters Christ and allows Him to take center stage in their life.

La fe siempre ha sido parte de mi vida. Desde pequeño participé en el grupo juvenil de mi parroquia y tuve la oportunidad de asistir a cuatro misiones durante la preparatoria. Esas experiencias fueron el fundamento de mi relación con Cristo y me enseñaron la alegría que se encuentra al servir a los demás.

Después de graduarme de la preparatoria, continué jugando fútbol a nivel universitario en Whatcom Community College. Aunque seguía practicando mi fe, el fútbol había dejado de ser solo un deporte para mí; se había convertido en mi identidad. Mi valor dependía de mi desempeño, mis logros y el papel que desempeñaba en la cancha. Viéndolo en retrospectiva, sin darme cuenta había convertido el fútbol en mi dios.

Todo cambió cuando una serie de lesiones me obligó a dejar el deporte mientras me transfería a Grand Canyon University. Aunque ya no tenía el fútbol, sabía que quería permanecer cerca de mi fe, así que comencé a asistir a Misa con regularidad y a involucrarme en el ASU Newman Center

Sin embargo, fue hasta mi último año de universidad, cuando asistí a la conferencia **SEEK**, que el Señor comenzó a transformar verdaderamente mi corazón. Durante esos días me encontré enfrentando preguntas que había evitado por años: “¿Quién soy? ¿Cuál es mi propósito? ¿A qué me está llamando Dios?”

Por primera vez comprendí que mi identidad no se encontraba en el deporte, en mis logros ni en el éxito profesional. Mi identidad estaba en ser un hijo amado de Dios. Ese descubrimiento cambió por completo el rumbo de mi vida.

Mientras crecía en mi relación con Cristo, también comenzó a crecer mi amor por las personas que me rodeaban. Empecé a reconocer que cada persona tiene un alma eterna y un profundo deseo de encontrar sentido, propósito y amor. Veía a muchos amigos buscando plenitud en los mismos lugares donde yo antes la buscaba: el éxito, las relaciones, los logros o el reconocimiento, pero aun así seguían sintiéndose vacíos.

Sabía que la paz, la alegría y el propósito que yo había encontrado en Cristo era algo que también deseaba que otros experimentaran.

Después de graduarme de la universidad, comencé a trabajar y exploré distintas oportunidades profesionales. Aunque esa etapa tuvo muchas cosas buenas, no podía ignorar el llamado que Dios seguía poniendo en mi corazón. Mientras más oraba, más comprendía que lo que realmente me llenaba no era construir mi propio éxito, sino ayudar a otros a encontrarse con Jesús.

Eso fue lo que finalmente me llevó a responder al llamado para convertirme en misionero de FOCUS.

Como exatleta universitario, entiendo las presiones, los desafíos y las preguntas que enfrentan muchos estudiantes. Sé lo que significa buscar identidad y propósito. Pero también sé la transformación tan profunda que ocurre cuando una persona se encuentra con Cristo y le permite ocupar el centro de su vida.

Your support allows me to be fully present on campus, building relationships, leading Bible studies, mentoring students, and walking with them in their faith journey.
