We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
I grew up a cradle Catholic in rural southern Minnesota, and lived as if Jesus was optional in my life as I transitioned into my college atmosphere. As I transferred to my second college up to Duluth, MN, I was in my lowest state of life, and found myself seeking answers and guidance on how to do this thing called life. It was there in the quest for guidance where I found myself in confession for the first time in years, and I encountered the Lord. It was through the sacrament of reconciliation where I initially let him make my life His and he started to provide the answers I was seeking.
In no major moment were my questions answered, but rather through the little yeses he revealed his guidance and plan for my life. Saying yes to growing my relationship with Him through His word in bible study, saying yes to prayer, frequenting the sacraments, and authentic fellowship with others around me doing the same. These little yeses have helped me form my relationship with Jesus Christ, and now he has led me to say yes to help others in this journey by becoming a FOCUS missionary!
As I said yes to this journey with FOCUS, I said yes to rely on the Lord’s gifts for spiritual and financial support of mission partners to help me lead others to know Jesus’ love for us. It would be a great honor to share this mission with you, so please let me know the best way I can reach out to you and set up an appointment to share the wonderful gift of mission!

By building genuine friendships, we meet students on a deeper level.
We teach students how to share the gospel, who in turn teach other students how to pass it on.
