Hello! My name is John, I am a first year missionary at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia!

My Story

My mission in Christ Jesus is to seek out students who are lost and hopeless, as I once was, and, through the service of grace, help them discover a good Father who loves them infinitely. I want them to know that, no matter where they come from or how far they may have wandered, they have a family in heaven that constantly prays for them.

Growing up, I knew the sacraments but had not yet learned to live my faith through them. I spent years trying to fill the emptiness in my heart with things that could never truly satisfy. Eventually, I stopped believing that I was loved and withdrew from love itself—from God and from others.

The greatest turning point in my life came when I met FOCUS missionaries who loved me with intentionality and sacrifice. Through their continued witness, they led me back to the heart of the Father in a way I had never experienced before. From glory to glory, I returned home: to Mass, to Adoration, and to His Church. I began to rediscover the faith I had once believed was lost forever, and in the Church, I found a family I had been longing for.

Because of this love, I can no longer remain still. My heart has been set on one mission: to seek out and love the children of God, especially those who have yet to discover how deeply they are cared for. Through my mission, I hope to remind them of the love that has been waiting for them since before the foundation of the world, and to help fulfill the Great Commission.

The mission of the Church is far from over. In fact, it has only just begun.
