Where I serve

This year, I am serving at the University of Northern Iowa! I’m excited for the opportunity to make an impact at UNI and getting to serve along side those pictured with me!

My Story

I grew up in a Catholic family, but my relationship with God didn’t truly begin until college. I attended the University of Minnesota Duluth, and during my first three years there, I was chasing the typical college experience. Deep down, I was trying to fill a void. I felt alone in what I was going through, afraid to be vulnerable, and convinced that no one else felt the same way I did.

Going into my senior year, I thought I had a clear picture of how life was going to go, but God had other plans. During the first week of school, an incident led to my roommates and I getting our house condemned. In the middle of that difficult situation, I began to see just how much God had been working in my life.

After, friends started inviting me to more Newman Center events, discipleship and SEEK. Experiencing SEEK deepened my relationship with Jesus; not only was I impacted by the speakers, but seeing over 20,000 people my age pursuing a relationship with God lit a fire in my heart which awoke a passion in me to live for Jesus. Seeing the transformation Christ has brought into my own life has given me a deep desire to walk with others and help lead them closer to Jesus as well.
