Where I serve

The Lord has called me to serve at Black Hills State University in Spearfish, South Dakota. Meet my new team! Victoria, Ryan, and Andrew, along with Andrew’s wife, Maclaine, and their two sons.

My Story

I grew up Catholic, but I didn’t truly know what it looked like to have a personal relationship with Jesus. I came to college not knowing that there were other people my age living their lives for Christ. I found the Catholic Student Center at Lindenwood University and was welcomed into a community that changed my life. Through Bible study, discipleship, and the witness of faithful friends and FOCUS missionaries, I began to encounter the Lord in a deeper way.

While there were seasons when I drifted and placed my identity in softball and the approval of others, the Lord continually pursued me. Through prayer, the SEEK Conference, and the loving invitation of a FOCUS missionary, I grew to put Christ at the center of my life. She taught me how to pray, challenged me to grow, and invited me to lead other women closer to Jesus.

Leading a Bible study for other female student-athletes and walking with others in discipleship became some of the most meaningful experiences of my time in college. Through every “yes” to the Lord, He drew me deeper into His love and prepared my heart to say “yes” to serving as a FOCUS missionary.

Your Impact

As a FOCUS missionary, I am called to rely on the generosity of mission partners to support me through prayer and financial giving. These partnerships make it possible for me to serve college students and help them encounter Christ.
