God has called me to a 3rd year serving college students at the University of Iowa in Iowa City! He has now called me into deeper leadership as the new Team Director. Through sports, meals, prayer, searching for an adventure, and beyond, you’ll find me sharing not only the Gospel of God, but my very self as well (1 Thessalonians 2:8).   Jesus has changed my life and I strive to use my experience to draw others closer to Christ. I am a person who fails often and needs mercy. I found this out in college as I looked for happiness and fulfillment in all the wrong places. All that time I should have been looking to the Lord, but I was distracted. And still all that time He was looking at me, loving me no matter what. The Lord came and found me time and time again. A few of the vessels He used to show me His love were FOCUS missionaries at Iowa State University. During my last two years, I was impacted by the witness of men and women living lives of great virtue. I was drawn into the beauty of the sacraments, praying with scripture, and sharing the faith with others. They showed me the mercy of the Father and how to have a relationship with Him. My life was forever transformed. Now as a missionary, I have the opportunity to help students know the Love of Jesus Christ.

Over the years, I have constantly dealt with not feeling like enough and always having to earn love. I believed this lie – along with others – until I encountered Jesus, fully and intimately in the Eucharist and in a personal relationship with Him. Via prayer, the Sacraments, and a community who loved Jesus and His Church, I came to find that my identity did not come from others or the things of this world, but solely through my sonship of God the Father. God sees me as His son, and a beloved one at that. You, too, are known and you are loved by a God who would bleed out for you! I can’t wait to share this message with others so we can live together in the joy of Jesus Christ and His Church!

When I said yes to the call to join FOCUS, I made the decision to rely on the spiritual and financial support of mission partners to help me through this mission. I’ve been blessed with the most amazing people who have journeyed with me as I serve on campus.
