As I enter into my first year of mission, I feel so blessed that God has called me to serve at Hope College in Holland, Michigan. Here, I will be walking with student-athletes in their faith journeys through discipleship and leading Bible studies. Pictured below is my team!

Going in to college, I knew I desired to grow in my faith and be part of a strong Catholic community. I wanted Jesus to be at the center of my life, but I did not necessarily know how to grow in a deeper relationship with Him. I always thought that having a relationship with Jesus simply meant living a good moral life; however, once I got involved with FOCUS on my campus at Loras College, I was taught the importance of daily prayer and how to grow in divine intimacy. Through my experience with FOCUS, and the incredible people God placed in my life, Jesus began to win over my heart in a new and more profound way than ever before. I not only continued to learn more about Him, but I grew to know Him on a personal level through prayer and the sacraments. I finally recognized Jesus’ deep thirst for me and the beautiful reality that my life is a unique, unrepeatable adventure with God!

I am so pumped that as I continue to grow in my own spiritual formation, I get share the Gospel with college students who so desperately long to be seen, known, and loved by their Creator. I truly have the best job in the world!

When I said “yes” to the call to join FOCUS, I made the choice to rely on the spiritual and financial support of others to invite more people into the mission of bringing souls back to the Lord.
