I am honored to serve the University of North Dakota Campus as a FOCUS Missionary! With over 15,000 students enrolled, the Lord has blessed my team and I with an amazing opportunity to serve on mission.

Growing up in a Catholic household, I was blessed to learn the faith from a young age. By high school, however, I found myself simply going through the motions. I knew my faith was important, but I wanted something deeper. When I arrived at the University of North Dakota, I attended a welcome-week barbecue at the Newman Center and met Josh, a FOCUS missionary. He invited me to a Bible study, and although I was hesitant at first, I decided to give it a chance. What began as a small group of three guys quickly became a brotherhood where we challenged one another to pursue virtue, seek truth, and grow in our relationship with Christ.

The greatest turning point came during my sophomore year when my new missionary mentor, Will, invited me to attend SEEK. During Eucharistic Adoration, surrounded by thousands of students, I experienced the love of Christ in a way I had never known before. As the monstrance passed by, I was overwhelmed by God’s mercy and love, and I was brought to tears. In that moment, Jesus revealed to me the depth of His forgiveness and taught me what it truly meant to be a beloved son of God. It was a life-changing encounter that transformed my faith from something I believed into someone I deeply knew.

Today, I have the privilege of leading the very Bible study that once changed my life. Each week, I walk alongside young men as they grow in faith, friendship, and discipleship. I desire to be a missionary because I have witnessed firsthand the power of God’s love to transform lives. The gifts he has given me were never meant to be kept to myself but shared with others so that they, too, may encounter Christ. This is the great commission that every single baptized Christian is called to! I have only one life—a gift I never deserved—and I want to spend it helping others know the love of the Father and fill every seat He has prepared in Heaven.

Why do we need people like you? Because we are fulfilling the exact method that was modeled by the master, when Jesus instructs his disciples to go forth and serve with nothing to their name (Matt 10: 8-15). Here’s the truth – this isn’t possible without you. The faithful like myself need the faithful like you to help send them on mission. While I am asking you to support me and believe in me, I also ask that you trust the Lord, that this be an invitation and a calling for you. Some people give by going, and others go by giving. Without one, it is nearly impossible to have the other.

I don’t want a transaction: I want a relationship. My prayer is that through supporting me as a mission partner, you too may come to know the faith on a deeper level. That you send me prayer intentions as I certainly ask for your prayers. That we change lives together, all for the greater glory of His Kingdom.

Every dollar given is one more minute I can focus on the mission at hand to be fully present and not stress about finances or making ends meet. It is the enabling factor that allows me to serve freely and fruitfully on mission. Your support in joining me in this mission helps us bring Jesus to the one crowd that maybe needs it now more than ever – what a beautiful opportunity.
