Where I serve

I just finished up my first year of mission at Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, VA but am now moving up north to UMass Amherst to serve my second year of mission with my fiancé, Julio. I am excited for the new adventure!

My Story

Hello! My name is Lourdes Navarro, and I just graduated from George Mason University with a B.S. in Mathematics. While at Mason, I encountered Christ in a new way through its Catholic campus ministry and FOCUS missionaries. While discerning what to do after college, I realized that my favorite people during my time as a college student were the missionaries I had grown in friendship with. I want to help other students like myself encounter Christ, so I took a leap of faith and said “yes” to FOCUS!

Your Impact

When I answered the call to join FOCUS, I said yes to relying on the spiritual and financial support of mission partners to help me through this mission. As a missionary, I have the privilege of walking with students on their journey toward Jesus. Although not everyone can do this in a tangible way, supporting the mission and making it possible for me to reach students is just as important!
