We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? Who will go for us?” “Here I am,” I said; “send me!”
Isaiah 6:8
I’m blessed with the opportunity to serve at Louisiana State University this next year. Geaux Tigers!
In the fall of 2022, I transferred to Baylor University to study Film and Digital Media. Since I didn’t know anyone on campus, I showed up at St. Peter, the Catholic student center, with the hopes of making a few friends and attending Mass on Sundays. Little did I know that the Lord had much more in store for me than just that. I was welcomed by the FOCUS missionaries with open arms, and before I knew it was in discipleship and getting ready to lead my own bible study. It was through their joyous witness that I learned that taking faith seriously and living virtuously wasn’t something that had to wait until I was “older.” It was something that could start right then at that moment in college.
FOCUS missionaries changed my life in college. After a gap year in Waco, I knew that the Lord was calling me to deepen my faith and continue to reach and encounter souls. It was abundantly apparent that FOCUS was the way in which the Lord was calling me to do so, and made it an easy “yes” to join!
When I answered the call to join FOCUS, I made the decision to rely on the spiritual and financial support of mission partners to help me through this mission. College campuses are a battleground for souls in our society, so it is a blessing to be able to share in this fight with the generous support of Mission Support Partners.
If you are interested in learning more about how your support could make a difference in the lives of students on campus, please reach out to me, and I would love to share how your support could make an impact on my work.

We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
By building genuine friendships, we meet students on a deeper level.
We teach students how to share the gospel, who in turn teach other students how to pass it on.
