Howdy, I’m Marco! I’m a FOCUS Missionary!
“We cannot keep to ourselves the words of eternal life given to us in our encounter with Jesus Christ: they are meant for everyone, for every man and woman… It is our responsibility to pass on what, by God’s grace, we ourselves have received.”
– Pope Benedict XVI
All Glory to God! I’m currently serving at Carroll College in Helena, Montana. Go Saints! This is my 1st year on staff with FOCUS. Please keep my team and I in your prayers…

Identity. Purpose. Belonging.
Although I was raised Catholic and surrounded by the beauty of the faith, I spent much of my life searching for identity in athletics, relationships, achievement, and the approval of others. Deep down, I knew I was made for more, but I often lacked the conviction to change.
Throughout college, the Lord patiently pursued me through faithful friendships, mentors, priests, and a community that continually invited me closer to Him. My story is not one of a dramatic conversion moment, but of a God who remained faithful and steadily revealed that my identity is not found in what I accomplish or what others think of me, but in being a beloved son of God.
As I said “yes” to discipleship, prayer, Bible studies, and authentic community, God transformed my heart and gave me a desire to help others know Him. When I was invited to become a FOCUS missionary, I realized it was the first “yes” that was truly mine, freely given in response to the Lord’s invitation. It was also one of the most daunting. Yet in saying yes, I learned that God does not call the qualified, He qualifies the called.
Today, I serve with FOCUS because I believe every college student deserves to know that they are not alone, their mistakes do not define them, and God’s love is not something they must earn. My hope is to walk with students as they discover their identity in Christ and experience the freedom, purpose, and joy that comes from following Him faithfully.
Beginning Fall 2024, I became a commissioned disciple within my campus which meant leading bible study as well as discipleship group. Through these last four semesters I’ve focused on leading a bible study group with my cross-country and track team. I had the opportunity to walk with a total of 12 men on my campus, with a consistent 5 disciples meeting on a weekly basis.

We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.

By building genuine friendships, we meet students on a deeper level.

We teach students how to share the gospel, who in turn teach other students how to pass it on.
