We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
“Blessed be the Lord, for he has wondrously shown his steadfast love to me…”
Psalm 31:21
I have the unique opportunity to serve at Clemson University for a semester before beginning my next journey with FOCUS at a new campus.
I came to Clemson to get my engineering degree and kick off my career, but my trajectory changed after encountering a FOCUS missionary after Mass.
Even though I grew up in the faith, I spent the first year of my time at Clemson University growing apart from the Lord. I rarely attended Mass and didn’t have any friends who wanted to pursue Christ. After spending a summer slowing down, I realized that I wasn’t fulfilled.
Through FOCUS-led Bible studies, discipleship groups, and conferences like SEEK, I was able to encounter Christ in a brand new way. For the first time, I wasn’t just checking the boxes of my faith, I was discovering my identity as a son of the Father.
Over time, the call to serve others as a FOCUS missionary grew in my heart. Now, I have a strong desire to invest in other men the way that FOCUS was able to invest in me. So rather than immediately pursuing my engineering career, I’ve decided to take some time to invest deeply in other college students and help equip them to be lifelong disciples of Christ who will bring the Gospel to their families, workplaces, and communities.
FOCUS has made a life-changing impact on my life, helped me encounter Jesus in different ways, and allowed me to strengthen my relationship with Jesus. Your generosity and support will allow me to continue this mission and spread the love of Jesus to college campuses.

We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.

By building genuine friendships, we meet students on a deeper level.

We teach students how to share the gospel, who in turn teach other students how to pass it on.
