We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
The mystery of ministry is that we have been chosen to make our own limited and very conditional love the gateway for the unlimited and unconditional love of God.
-Henri Nouwen-
I currently serve at the University of Iowa as a year-long intern while completing my senior year of undergraduate studies. After graduation, I will continue this mission by making a gift of myself and serving as a full-time missionary wherever the Lord calls me.
I walked into the Newman Catholic Student Center at the University of Iowa and met a FOCUS missionary. I asked him, “How do you do this?” I was only two weeks into college and already I felt a deep longing for something greater. I was feeling guilty and unfulfilled by my actions, caught up in the “campus culture” and activities that were supposed to make me feel happy.
I asked him again, “How do you do this? How do you live your faith and still do the things college kids do?”
The truth is, you can’t. You can’t fully live your faith and also live the way the world tells you to in college. To be a disciple of Jesus, you can’t sit on the fence. Satan owns the fence.
And yet, that truth is a beautiful one. Because even in the middle of my confusion and compromise, Christ was offering me forgiveness, redemption, and abundant life.
If that missionary hadn’t said “yes” to God’s call, I might have never said “yes” to mine.
Now I’m in the same position he was, an ambassador for Christ on a college campus, ready to serve anyone whom Christ is calling back to him.
As a FOCUS missionary, I am blessed to rely on the spiritual and financial support of others. It is both a gift and a privilege to build a team of mission partners like you who desire to share in this mission. Your generosity does have lasting impacts of bringing others closer to Christ and saving lives for eternity. If this mission inspires you in any way, please reach out to my phone number or email. I would love to connect and schedule a meeting with you!

We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.

By building genuine friendships, we meet students on a deeper level.

We teach students how to share the gospel, who in turn teach other students how to pass it on.
