My name is Michael, I’m a second-year missionary with FOCUS. I am serving at Texas A&M – Kingsville. As a collegiate missionary, I continue to follow Christ daily and accompany young adults in their faith as disciples of Jesus. I am always receptive to a phone call or text message to share about the mission in Kingsville and glad to connect your loved ones to any fellow missionaries!

My Story
As I entered college seeking the college experience and chasing the dream job by dividing my time to academics, at the end of the day I still felt lonely and empty. My body, mind, and soul were aching for a greater fulfillment and truth.
As I returned to the Christ after several years, I began attending the Catholic center at my alma mater and was spiritually hungry. Grateful for the community and Ministry leaders, I grew more knowledgeable in God and the truths of himself as a loving Father – I heard the Gospel. Over 22 years of my life I had finally fully received the Gospel. During this time of transition from finding my identity in Christ and discerning a vocation, a team of FOCUS missionaries reached out to me on campus and invited me into a life of discipleship. I began to admire the prayer habits and life of the missionaries until one day a Missionary invited me to live out the very mission as a disciple of Jesus Christ. It has now been my pleasure and a gift from God to take part in his Kingdom through the breaking of the bread, the apostles’ teachings, fellowship, and prayer.
I truly believe that the teachings FOCUS provides are something we can take and apply for the rest of our lives. I am enamored with the love and great promises of Jesus Christ working through his disciples who live closely to his teachings and honored that God has entrusted his heart to us to continue sharing the Gospel to the world.
