“It is no longer because of what you said that we believe, for we have heard for ourselves, and we know that this is truly the Saviour of the world.” – John 4:42
God has called me to enter into living the good life, and I am overjoyed to be serving close to home next year at the University of Nebraska-Omaha. I am excited to encounter the students and to experience all the Lord has in store for me. Go Mavs!
When I was a student at Benedictine College, I had the incredible opportunity to compete as a track athlete alongside a team who changed the way I viewed the sport, myself, and my faith. Being poured into by teammates and receiving the Lord’s love in radical ways through them helped me develop the catechesis I received growing up into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, which has transformed how I live my life and has increased my desire to extend to others the love I have received.
The main lesson my college athletic career taught me is no matter what race in life you are running, you cannot run alone. Knowing this, I felt the Lord calling me to say “yes” to FOCUS and the students and athletes I will encounter. It is my hope that as I step onto campus this fall, I can run alongside the students in this race, so we can ultimately reach Heaven together.
As excited as I am to run with my students on campus towards the Lord, I, too, cannot run the race alone, and I need the support of mission partners like you. When I said “yes” to FOCUS, I said “yes” to relying on the prayers and financial support of mission partners to help me fulfill the mission of bringing these students closer to Christ. Will you help me fulfill this mission I have been called to? If you are interested in going on mission alongside me, I would love to meet with you! Please reach out through email ([email protected]).

We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.

By building genuine friendships, we meet students on a deeper level.

We teach students how to share the gospel, who in turn teach other students how to pass it on.
