We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
“Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom!”
-2 Corinthians 3:17
God has called me to serve at Wayne State University in Detroit! I will have the honor of walking with Greek students there! These are my teamates Kyle, Jess, Kasey, and Victor! I am so excited to all be on mission together!
Oh where do I begin on how the Lord has transformed my world!
I was introduced to the person of Jesus Christ in a more deep and intimate way my freshman year of college. I attended Lindenwood University, where I got involved with a FOCUS bible study.
This was perfect timing as I was in a dark period of grief, living in many lies, and not living out my identity as a daughter of the king. Through this bible study, my life was renewed. I started to meet the face of Jesus through encountering his voice in scripture and the deep friendships with women around me! As I started to grow even deeper in relationship with the Lord, he started to uncover many areas of my heart where I felt I was hiding from him. He showed me that its okay to be vulnerable with him and he just wants to love me! I could finally see how beloved I was, and I wasn’t made to be stuck in my brokenness.
My junior year I had the privilege of walking with women by leading a bible study. This experience was so crucial to my even deeper conversion! When I started to walk with others by sharing in life and the true message of the gospel, my heart was set on fire! Through partnering with the Lord, it brought me into a deeper sense of humility, by helping others grow in their relationship with Christ. This is just a glimpse of the work the Lord has done in my life, as my mind is continually being renewed with his freedom!
As I shared above, I am convicted the Lord wants all of his children to share in his divine life! He wants us to experience the deep freedom he offers. He has called me to FOCUS to share this message with not only students, but those who are my spiritual and financial partners in the kingdom! If you are interested in helping support the Lord’s mission, let me know the best way to reach you! I’d be honored to share this mission with you!
We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
By building genuine friendships, we meet students on a deeper level.
We teach students how to share the gospel, who in turn teach other students how to pass it on.
