After working for a year following graduation, I felt God call me to mission work. I will be serving my first year as a missionary at New York University (NYU). I am excited to help students know Jesus Christ and to help them deepen their faith alongside my team!

When I arrived on campus at Brown University amidst a pandemic, I was determined to find a Christian faith community. However, COVID-19 restrictions made it nearly impossible to find any in-person opportunities for worship or fellowship. Despite the obstacles and isolation, God placed numerous people in my life, including a FOCUS missionary, that pursued me with a love modeled after Christ. Through those relationships, I began to form a true and lasting relationship with Jesus Christ.

God’s relentless pursuit of my heart, through others, has forever changed my life. I look back on my college years and treasure the many hours spent in Bible studies, discipleship meetings, random coffee dates, spontaneous worship sessions, and countless joy-filled moments. Life with Jesus is different – and it is beautiful. I am forever grateful to the men and women who showed me that it is a life worth pursuing, no matter the cost.

After working this past year, I realized the deep ache in my heart to share how God has transformed my life. His love is personal and unique, and it is a great joy to share the fullness of life He offers with students.

As a missionary, I rely on the generosity of others to fulfill Jesus’ Great Commission to “make disciplines of all nations” (Matthew 28:19). My own life was transformed by faithful missionaries who could only share the Gospel with me because of the support they received. Today, mission partners make it possible for me to be wholeheartedly present to my students and encourage them in their pursuit of Christ.
