We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
“Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous works among all the peoples.”
1 Chronicles 16:24
The Lord has called me to serve the students at the University of Iowa!
I grew up a faithful Catholic, attending Sunday mass with my family and going to religious education. However, when I left for college, I had to decide if I wanted to continue perusing my Catholic faith.
When I first arrived on my college campus, I had one goal: live the college experience. So, I began my college career excited to be away from home and to make my own decisions. Party culture consumed my life and in turn, left me lost and broken. I knew I was not living the life God was calling me to live, but I had no idea where to start.
By the grace of God, that is when a FOCUS missionary began investing in me. By walking with me in authentic friendship, she helped me prioritize my life. I began praying in the chapel everyday and attending daily mass as often as I could. My heart began to transform and living a virtuous life seemed attainable. My heart was filled with peace and hope for my future.
At the end of my freshman year, I was invited to lead a Bible study. I have never found more purpose than by walking with others in the faith. When the Lord called me to FOCUS I knew I had to give Him my yes. It is an absolute honor to walk with my students and watch them grow closer to Christ.
When I answered the call to join FOCUS, I made the decision to rely on the spiritual and financial support of mission partners to help me through this mission. I’ve been blessed with the most amazing people who have journeyed with me as I begin to serve on campus. I would love you to join me on mission in this way!
Please let me know of the best way to reach you and I will schedule an appointment. I would be honored to share this mission with you!

We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
By building genuine friendships, we meet students on a deeper level.
We teach students how to share the gospel, who in turn teach other students how to pass it on.
