We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
My name is Nathan Soares, and I have been blessed with a glorious purpose; To share the love of Jesus Christ to others, and to help strengthen their faith. I have been doing this for 5 years now from middle school students to college age. Now, I am officially apart of FOCUS Missions and am ready to continue my calling outside of my home state of California.
I’ve seen it before, many people fall away from the faith during their first weeks of college. Without good friends willing to invite and share the good news, these people will turn away from God. That is why we have Newman clubs on college campuses where students gather together with the same goal, to learn of God’s love for them and to share His mercy to others.
FOCUS’ job is to invite people in, anyone. Whether they were raised Catholic, or never knew what a Catholic was. To let them know they are heard, loved, and invited for something more. Our missionaries do this by setting up fun activities, and time to grow deeper in prayer life and practicing the sacraments. This will help them grow in sobriety, chastity, and excellence.
The goal for us is simple, to have everyone on campus know about our Lord and savior Jesus Christ! His love is so good, why should we keep it to ourselves? I would absolutely love it if you went on this mission with me by financially supporting me! I am always praying for you, please pray for me.

By building genuine friendships, we meet students on a deeper level.
We teach students how to share the gospel, who in turn teach other students how to pass it on.
