I will be serving in Naperville, a Chicago suburb in the great state of Illinois! I will be joining the Bosco project and the gentlemen working there, an all men’s community striving and dedicated to the excellence we are called to follow as disciples of Jesus Christ. I will be working primarily with the parishioners and priests around the surrounding area. There will also be some formational time with my fellow brothers of the faith to continue to grow in our fraternal excellence, as well as persona excellence.

I was a fallen away Catholic when I was in middle school, the 2008 recession took a toll on our family and work/money just kind of became the primary issue, just trying to stay afloat. We stopped going to mass as a family and stopped going to catholic school and eventually it just became a childhood memory to reminisce on after a decade or so. I was blessed to have a radical conversion to the faith late 2019! I was continuing my degree in business at Eastern Washington University and was able to meet some Focus missionaries that helped share the faith with me, after going to the SLS20 conference in Pheonix Arizona, I was able to see for the first time the beauty of the Church 13,000 other catholic students my age all practicing and celebrating their faith, was such a fresh breath of air! I told Jesus, that I was all in! After a few years I eventually was elevated to a leadership role at our Newman center, lead others in discipleship and coordinated large student events like movie nights, cigar/whisky nights, and swing dancing! After living in the world for so long and the false promises of said world, Jesus met me where I was and was really pursuing my heart. I was able to truly appreciate and celebrate my faith well with the Catholic church, all thanks to Focus! It’s such a great organization.
