Where I serve

I am currently a student at Fort Hays State University where I am finishing up my degree in Elementary and Special Education! I am so excited to be on the FHSU FOCUS team for the Fall semester as I spend my last moments in Hays. The Catholic community is booming in Hays and the credit goes to our Lord and the work He is doing in these students’ hearts. I am so eager to continue to spread the Gospel and reach even more students this coming semester:)

My Story

I grew up in a great Catholic community but I never had a personal, deep relationship with Christ. In high school I felt very alone and wished for something more. I wished and allowed myself to be conformed to the world and not what God was calling me to be. I ignored His voice and chose anything over Him.

However, when I came to Fort Hays State University, I was able to encounter Christ through the FOCUS missionaries on campus. I began to take steps to deepen my relationship with Him and place Him at the center of my life. I joined a FOCUS Bible study and began discipleship and I realized that we are all made for a deep relationship with our Lord and He desires us to draw near to Him and spread the Gospel. My life was changed by our Lord and He made it better than I could have ever imagined. By saying yes to the Lord and choosing Him, I was able to be transformed and hear Him. I now knew that the Lord was calling me deeper into mission and so I said yes to FOCUS.

I am incredibly eager and overjoyed to be a FOCUS missionary and help others encounter Christ and have their lives transformed, just like mine!
