I became a student at the University of Minnesota Duluth in 2021. Before college, I had come to know Jesus Christ and the plan he had for me through my sister who had a deep encounter with Christ through the FOCUS missionaries at her own campus. I thought that because of her, I would have it all figured out but boy was I wrong!

From the beginning of my time in college I wanted to make my faith my own, separate from my sister and the expectations of anyone else. Through my Newman center and the FOCUS missionaries on campus, I was called into a deep, personal relationship with Jesus Christ and His Church. Since then, I have led bible studies, participated in mission trips and pilgrimages, and led others in discipleship to grow in a deeper relationship with Christ. I studied abroad to South Korea and learned that Jesus is present with me even then, and still desires our hearts, halfway across the globe. I have grown to become an adult who knows what it means to have a relationship with God on my own. I have learned to deeply rely on our God who is present everywhere throughout the world and to surrender to Him who brings only goodness and grace.

As I was preparing to graduate, I was given the amazing opportunity to join FOCUS myself and become a missionary. I have always wanted to be a conduit of the faith while on this Earth. I thought I had my life after graduation figured out, but after being asking to join in this mission, I was faced with the beautiful truth that “If I didn’t share the gospel to other students on campus, who would?” 

I am now asking you to do the same as well. Please! Help me to spread the Gospel message to students across the United States.
