This year, I will be serving at Michigan Technological University, and I couldn’t be more excited! It’s an incredible opportunity to share the love of Christ with students from all walks of life during such a pivotal time in their journey. I’m especially passionate about walking with students in authentic friendship, helping them encounter Jesus personally, and inviting them to live boldly for Him in their daily lives. I can’t wait to see how God moves on campus this year and feel so grateful to be part of His mission at Michigan Tech!

From small Watertown, Minnesota, to a freshman at the University of Minnesota Duluth, my story began with knowing there probably was a God, but not what that meant for me. I set foot on campus with no intention of making faith part of my daily life, but God had other plans. College is a place where people often find meaning and up until my sophomore year, I had not yet found it.

I was continuously invited to Newman events and found a family that made me feel seen, known, and loved. Eventually, SEEK24 transformed my heart and showed me the true love of Jesus as he spoke to me “You are home now”. I wanted the same passion and zeal for life that came through Christianity that the Focus missionaries on my campus had. Through Bible study, discipleship, and the sacraments, I became more like Jesus each and every day, desiring a fire not only for my own heart but for the whole world around me!

My “yes” to FOCUS comes from a desire to join the Lord’s army and fight for Him every day! Each person on campus deserves a chance at the same individual investment and love that I received, which is why I want to try and make that a reality.
