Hey! My name’s Seth and I’m a FOCUS missionary!

Where I serve

The Lord has invited me to serve my first year as a FOCUS missionary at the University of Maryland. I am so excited to serve the students at UMD along with my team, which is pictured below. From left to right: Cheyenna, Maria, myself, and Shane.

My Story

Growing up, I was raised Catholic and always remember my faith being an important part of my life. Leading into my first year of college at the University of Virginia (Go Hoos!), I knew I wanted to get involved with the campus ministry there to make sure it remained an important part of my life. Little did I know, God was inviting me into something much deeper.

Through a continued growth in a life of prayer, the sacraments, and virtuous friendships, I came to know what it meant to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. It was clear that God was using everything I encountered on Grounds to lead me closer to Him, extending the invitation that my faith was not just one important part of my life, but truly the most important part of my life.

Through my involvement with FOCUS at UVA, I came to know that it was not just my own life that was transformed, but my desire to share the Gospel with the students around me was transformed as well. As a FOCUS missionary, I am excited to walk with and accompany students as they pursue their own relationship with the Lord, just as the missionaries at UVA did for me.
