Where I serve

I am excited to share that the Lord has called me to serve college students as a FOCUS missionary! I’ll be serving my first year at Western Washington University in Bellingham, WA!

My Story

Growing up, I always knew who Jesus was. My parents did their best to teach me the Catholic faith, but it wasn’t until I was 15 years old, during a retreat, that I truly encountered the love of a Father who is full of mercy and love for me.

After that retreat, I began serving in my church and became very involved throughout high school. There, I found wonderful friends and an incredible community that helped me grow in my faith.

After high school, I moved to the United States, and that’s when the challenges began. I drifted away from my faith. I didn’t want to go to church, I stopped praying, and I struggled to trust God. I felt alone and depressed. Even though it looked from the outside like I had everything together and was enjoying life, deep down I knew something was missing. My heart longed for the truth, and I wanted to return to the Father’s love.

In 2024, I attended a catholic conference called SEEK, and that event changed my life. I encountered Christ again and experienced His incredible mercy. I rediscovered His love and felt truly seen, welcomed, and known by Him. All my sadness, loneliness, and longing for something more were redeemed by the merciful and loving Father revealed to me in Jesus Christ.

After SEEK, I realized how deeply I needed community. I began attending Mass more frequently, and God gave me the graces I needed to deepen my relationship with Him. Through prayer, the sacraments, and His mercy, I discovered my true identity and the purpose for which I was created.

Through the FOCUS missionaries at my campus, I also found the authentic Christian community I had been longing for. Their friendship, encouragement, and formation have been an incredible gift. They have helped me grow in my faith, deepen my relationship with Christ, and continue striving to live the life He has called me to live.

The Lord has called me to meet them where they are, accompany them in their journey, and invite them into a life-changing relationship with Jesus Christ.

Every student reached, every heart transformed, and every soul brought closer to Christ is a fruit of our shared mission. Together, we can walk students to the foot of the Cross, where they can encounter the infinite love and mercy of God.
