We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
The Lord has called me to serve as a first year missionary at Valparaiso University!
As I grew up going to Mass each Sunday, I went into college knowing that was something I wanted to continue. What I hadn’t anticipated was the existence of college ministry and that the Lord was going to change my life completely through it. Before classes started my freshman year, I was reached out to by a sophomore classmate, Lucina, who invited me into a Bible study. I thought I knew God already, and the way I was living was sufficient. Joining a Bible study would be extreme, and wasn’t meant for people who also had social lives.
These were the lies I believed. The reality was that I was trapped by sin and constantly looking towards worldly desires to fulfill my heart; the heart that was made to be filled by Jesus. By the grace of God I ended up joining Bible study, and met amazing girls, who had similar desires to me, and were just the kind of people I wanted to build friendships with in college. Throughout my freshman year, Lucina taught me what true, authentic and virtuous friendship looked like. She invited me into discipleship, where I learned the beauty and importance of the sacraments, discovering that I was called not only to know about God, but to truly know Him personally. I was freed from a multitude of sin, and was experiencing true joy in community for the first time in my life. My sophomore year, I had the privilege to begin leading my own Bible study, and eventually lead others in discipleship. Each day since then, the Lord has asked me in small ways to sacrifice things that I was once so attached to. I am completely changed through the saving grace of our Lord. And I cannot be more thankful. For the rest of my life I am committed to striving for sainthood, and I would love to bring as many people as I can with me. My passion for evangelization led me to be called to join FOCUS as a missionary, continuing to invest in others the same way that I was invested in so intentionally.
Becoming a missionary, I am called to rely solely on the Lord and mission partners to provide spiritual and financial support. I am able to reach souls and lead them to the Lord because of your generosity. Together we can follow the Lord’s call to spread the gospel and grow in our own journey of Faith.
If you are interested in partnering with me, please let me know the best way to reach you and we can schedule an appointment. You can contact me through my email, [email protected]. I am always looking for people who are willing to give in any way they are able, but especially through a recurring, monthly donation basis. I’d be honored to share this mission with you!

We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.

By building genuine friendships, we meet students on a deeper level.

We teach students how to share the gospel, who in turn teach other students how to pass it on.
