We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
Then I heard the LORD say, “Whom shall I send? And who shall go for us?” And I said, ‘Here I am, LORD! Send me! – Isaiah 6:8
God has called me this semester to serve the students at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville as a December Graduate missionary!
Growing up, I was not very fond of being Catholic. That changed when I met a FOCUS alum turned youth minister my freshman year of high school. She taught me how to pray, invited me to Mass, shared life with me, and eventually became a dear friend. More than any faith formation program, she taught me what it meant to follow Christ through the witness of her life.
Her example sparked a living faith that stayed with me through high school and college. Through the friendship we built, she led me closer to Christ and showed me the power of Authentic Friendship. Now, by God’s grace, I have the opportunity to do the same—building friendships with others and walking with them as they grow closer to Christ.
When I answered “yes” to join FOCUS, I chose to rely on the spiritual and financial support of mission partners. As Christians, we are all called to spread the good news of the gospel, and God has blessed me with an incredible opportunity to invite others into this mission with me. I get to share my mission with those whose hearts desire to go on mission and reach the whole world. If you are interested in joining me in this mission – or just learning more about what I do and why – please contact me, and we can set up a time to meet. I would be honored to share more!

We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.

By building genuine friendships, we meet students on a deeper level.

We teach students how to share the gospel, who in turn teach other students how to pass it on.
