Where I serve

God has called me to serve at the University of Texas at Austin, Hook’Em!!

My Story

The last three years of college, at Texas State University, I spent getting to know God and learning how truly great His Love is. I began attending a local church, joined a bible study, and began to serve in various ways. The community I was blessed to do life with during my last 2 years of college taught me that I was made for relationship, better yet, a relationship with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

In October 2024, God put the desire on my heart for deeper intimacy with him. This led to my journey of understanding Christianity and ultimately God more. In January 2025, after much prayer and study, God invited me to take a step of radical obedience and say Yes to begin the process of entering His Church, The Catholic Church. I then began attending Our University Parish, where I was gifted a community of friends and leaders that came alongside me with such great love and support. I have been blessed to have entered the Church this past May!!

Through my conversion to Catholicism, God has given me a greater understanding of the beauty that is His Church. Knowing Christ is the biggest Joy of my life, and inviting others into a relationship with Him is one of the greatest desires of my heart. Jesus’ great commission given in Matthew 28:19-20 has captivated my heart, and FOCUS’s mission to fulfill it is one of the many reasons I said Yes to becoming a missionary!
