We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
“God has created me to do Him some definite service. He has committed some work to me which He has not committed to another.” -Saint John Henry Newman
I will be serving at Ball State University in Muncie, IN. I’m looking forward to being on campus and getting to know the students at Ball State. I am serving with three other FOCUS missionaries and am looking forward to working with them. Go Cardinals!
I grew up as a Lutheran Christian. I was confirmed and received first communion within the Lutheran Church, but my faith and relationship with Jesus Christ was never something I took very seriously. I went to church when it was convenient and prayed when I wanted something from God. However, life hit me hard, with the COVID-19 pandemic, lockdowns, and other personal issues. I felt lost, but somehow I knew to turn to Jesus Christ.
Turning to Jesus, I never felt alone, and I knew He was always with me. However, I still felt a desire for truth, and in the search, I found the Catholic Church. By the time I was a freshman in college, I knew I wanted to become Catholic, but I didn’t know how to start and didn’t have the care to find out yet. It would not be until my junior year in college where I would discover St. Paul Catholic Center, the Newman Center at Indiana University Bloomington, where I would finally takes the steps to be received into the Catholic Church and fully dive into my faith.
The turnaround was quick for me. I was almost immediately invited into a FOCUS Bible study when I arrived at St. Paul’s. By the end of my junior year, I was invited to discipleship to be formed to lead my own Bible study. By my senior year, I was leading Bible studies and small groups, and I was seen as a leader at our Newman Center. This helped me discern my call and God’s will for me. While I graduated with a degree in law and public policy, I knew God was calling me to serve others in a more direct way. So, I said yes to becoming a FOCUS missionary.
I am also discerning a call to the priesthood, but I know FOCUS is a great way for me to serve God and others while I discern that call.
Being a FOCUS missionary is not something that can be done alone. I rely on the support of mission partners to support me both financially and spiritually. Without them, I would not be able to serve the students on campus and help them find Jesus Christ.
If you are interested in partnering with me, please don’t hesitate to reach out. I’d love the schedule an appointment and get to meet you, and I would love to be on this mission with you.

By building genuine friendships, we meet students on a deeper level.
We teach students how to share the gospel, who in turn teach other students how to pass it on.
