“The glory of God is man fully alive.”

As a convert to the Catholic Church at the Easter Vigil in 2024, I finally found in Christ the fulfillment I had spent years searching for. I grew up in Lima, Ohio, surrounded by a loving family and great friends. Much of my identity was rooted in success, both in the classroom and in sports, and I often measured my worth by achievement and the approval of others.

On the surface, everything appeared to be going well, but I was living a double life and searching for something deeper that the world could not provide. That search began to change during the summer between my freshman and sophomore year of college when I attended Mass with my girlfriend and encountered the witness of a virtuous Catholic family. Slowly, through a missionary who pursued me and led me through FOCUS Bible studies and discipleship, I experienced authentic Christian community and began to encounter Christ in a personal way.

As I continued growing in the faith, the sacraments, especially Eucharistic Adoration, radically transformed my heart and led me to pursue Baptism and Confirmation during my sophomore year of college. Since then, the Holy Spirit has placed a deep desire in my heart to share the Gospel with others. I began leading Bible studies with friends from my hometown and students on campus, and I fell in love with accompanying others through the same feelings of isolation, searching, and longing for purpose that I had experienced myself.

Jesus Christ has completely changed the direction of my life, and I am passionate about helping others encounter the hope, truth, and fulfillment found in Him alone.

I desire to be an instrument that God can use to facilitate encounters that lead young adults closer to Christ and awaken a deeper desire for Him in their lives. I know what it feels like to search for fulfillment in the world and still feel empty, so I am passionate about walking with others through that same search and pointing them toward the lasting joy found in Jesus Christ. I also hope to be a faithful witness to my family and friends who have played such an important role in my life and faith journey.

When I answered the call to join FOCUS, I committed to relying on the spiritual and financial support of mission partners so that I can be fully available to accompany students in their pursuit of Christ. By joining this mission, you will play a direct role in helping young adults encounter the hope, purpose, and fulfillment found in Him.
