The Lord has called me to return and serve a second year as a full-time missionary at San Diego State University. Go Aztecs!

I’m incredibly blessed and excited to be serving as a missionary in San Diego! As a California native, I’m fortunate to have that “home-field advantage,” giving me a clear understanding of the urgent need for mission here. On campus, I’ll be actively leading Bible studies, guiding students in discipleship, and working to build up the Church.

My Story

I was born and raised Catholic, my mother was the one who modeled the faith for my family. We went to mass every Sunday and I alter served yet, if someone had asked me back then who Jesus truly was to me, I wouldn’t have had an answer. For a long time, my faith was simply a box to check on Sundays. I spent much of my youth seeking the approval of others and trying to fit in, eventually immersing myself in a culture and social circles that didn’t desire my good.

When I moved from a small town in central California to Los Angeles for college, I was eager to experience everything campus life and the city had to offer. That all changed the day I ran into FOCUS missionaries tabling on campus.  I spotted them by a cardboard cutout of Pope Francis, I walked up and said, “Hey, I’m Catholic!”. That brief interaction marked the beginning of my journey back to the Father’s house. As I got involved, I experienced the profound joy of living in an intentional community—a place where there was no need to perform or pretend, and where I could simply be myself among peers who deeply loved the Lord.

I had the opportunity to participate in Summer Projects, a ten-week faith formation program in Michigan. Spending the summer attending daily Mass, praying a daily Holy Hour, and working alongside other catholic college students striving for holiness transformed me. It was during those weeks that I truly learned that a consistent prayer life is the foundation of a living, personal relationship with the Lord.

Summer Projects became the springboard that launched me into mission. I returned to CSUN transformed and on fire to lead Bible studies, walk with other men in discipleship, and invite others into the mission of the church. The more time I spent with the missionaries, the more inspired I became by the joy of their witness and their passion for evangelization, ultimately sparking the desire to become a missionary myself.

Saying yes to serving the Lord as a full-time missionary has been the greatest adventure of my life, and I am incredibly grateful to see how it continues to unfold.

Your Impact

In answering the call to mission, I made the decision to rely on the spiritual and financial support of mission partners to help me through my journey. If you’re interested in partnering with me to spread the good news on the college campus, please let me know the best way to contact you, and I’ll schedule an appointment with you. I’d be honored to share my mission with you!
