We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
My name is Veronica. Although I was never a FOCUS missionary, it has been my dream for years to work for FOCUS. As I told my manager when I was hired, “I pretty much stalked the website for years!”
Before joining FOCUS, I spent five years working in the pro-life movement. During that time, I saw firsthand the need to meet young people where they are and introduce them to a relationship with Jesus Christ. In 2021, I helped start 50 pro-life groups, provided pro-life trainings, collaborated with churches and communities, and traveled to college campuses throughout the Midwest with peaceful pro-life displays.
Unfortunately, those displays were not always met peacefully. I was called every name in the book. Over time, I realized there was a deeper issue at play. At the core of every human heart is the desire to know love and to be loved. When young people do not know that love, they often search for it in all the wrong places.
I wanted to help change that.
I saw that change happening through FOCUS.
A few years ago, I led a young adult group, and something one of the young men said to me has stayed with me ever since: “If you didn’t run this young adult group, I would not know Jesus.”
His words were a powerful reminder that our efforts matter. We must continue to pave the way so that others can encounter Christ. Through the mission of FOCUS, this is exactly what we are working to accomplish.
I am deeply grateful for your support, and please know that I am praying for you. If you would ever like to connect or learn more about this mission, please do not hesitate to reach out.
“As the deer longs for flowing streams, so longs my soul for you, O God.”
— Psalm 42

We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.

By building genuine friendships, we meet students on a deeper level.

We teach students how to share the gospel, who in turn teach other students how to pass it on.
