Where I serve

I am serving as a first year missionary at Black Hills State University in South Dakota! Roll Yellow Jackets 🐝 stingers up! I can’t wait to see how God moves on campus this year and feel so grateful to be part of His mission at BHSU!

My Story

I grew up in a Catholic family but going into college, I thought I had finally found the freedom I was looking for. However, by my sophomore year at the University of Minnesota Duluth, I realized that a lifestyle away from the Church centered around worldly things left me feeling isolated and unfulfilled. My heart was torn between that darkness and the life I knew God was inviting me to embrace.

God placed a FOCUS student missionary in my path who invited me to Bible study and later to the FOCUS SEEK Conference. At SEEK, I felt the Lord calling me back to Himself and His Church. There, I found authentic and virtuous friendships that would support me throughout the rest of my college journey. Through Bible study, discipleship, daily prayer, and Mass, my faith was renewed. I learned what it truly means to be a daughter of God and to have an intimate relationship with my Creator. With out the intentionality of a FOCUS missionary investing deeply in me, I would not know my true identity or have a personal relationship with God. FOCUS has truly impacted my life in a very real way.

By our baptism we are all called to spread the Gospel to all. I can not partake in God’s great commission without your spiritual and financial support.
