I will be serving at The University of Texas at San Antonio as both a student and a missionary. Go Roadrunners!

I was born and raised in a small border town in Texas. Growing up, I always knew that I was Catholic and I knew about Jesus, but I didn’t know that I could have a relationship with him. I knew about him but I didn’t know him.

Throughout many of my years in school I always accredited my achievements to myself & was very independent. I didn’t recognize or acknowledge that I needed a Savior. It wasn’t until I was diagnosed with a heart condition that my life changed. I experienced much anxiety and depression and didn’t know who to turn to. My beloved mom knew the Lord had a plan for me but I didn’t yet know it myself. She began to invite me to mass & that’s when I started to seek Jesus.

When I started my sophomore year of college I made it a goal to attend the Catholic center at UTSA. That is when I encountered a FOCUS missionary who wholeheartedly embraced me & walked with me on my path to holiness. I like to joke that the Lord broke my heart so that I could find him. I found much peace with the pain that I endured and embraced my suffering with Jesus’ suffering on the cross.

I soon then begin leading Bible studies and walking with younger girls in discipleship so that they too can build a relationship with our sweet Lord!!! He has been so merciful and gracious to me that I could not help but serve him and his people. After having been being poured into by a missionary, I have been called to serve as a missionary for others.

Upon answering the Lord’s call to become a missionary, I have committed to relying on both spiritual and financial support through the generosity of others.
