My Story

“He said to him the third time, ‘Simon, son of John, do you love me?’ Peter was grieved because he said to him the third time, ‘Do you love me?’ And he said to him, ‘Lord, you know everything; you know that I love you.’ Jesus said to him, ‘Feed my sheep.'” – John 21:17

April 21st, 2025, is when I started to see the truth in the light after being in the dark so long. Pope Francis had just passed and I felt this deep pain, this deep sorrow for his passing. There my life had turned with an encounter with Christ in my college dorm where I wept. Over that summer I would read the entirety of the New Testament after getting it recommended by a friend of mine who was a recent convert to Catholicism.

That Summer, I read it front to back, Gospels to Revelation. There I found my own revelation of what I needed to do. I started praying the Rosary, and started to learn what path to go as he repaired me. It was like the Rosary found me though in the end. My senior semester, I immediately started going to the Campus Ministry at SFA. The liturgy, the altar, the most blessed Sacrament. Those three things changed me there

That same semester, I spent my due diligence aiming to graduate College for a degree I don’t even care for anymore. I met beautiful members of FOCUS and they changed my life. They pushed me towards a gate, and I could peer into heaven even for a moment. I saw where God wanted me. Yet I didn’t know the first steps to prepare to get there. That’s when he showed me this mission.

Always now after being confirmed, and still discerning that call is the same. “Feed my sheep.” This mission led me to applying to FOCUS, and I can never describe the feeling that came in that Adoration chapel after my interview. I was finally complete for just a few minutes. I hope to invest my heart into this ministry, as I prepare still for a possible jump into Seminary in 2028.
